May the 4th Be With You Friday Showcase/Tips!!!

“It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together. It’s clutch power.” Okaaaay, so maybe Obi- Wan wasn’t talking about building.

But hey, it works, so- why not?

Hello KTTB readers! Today marks National Star Wars Day. As you can probably tell from my love of random things (Where we’ve been… SPACE!!!), super heroes (Brick Brothers Comics Presents- Origins; Ice Hero Begins), and the Lego Toy overall (Welcome to “Key To The Brick”), I’m a bit of a nerd. Aren’t we all? So, naturally, I love Star Wars. Today I’m going to share with you my top 3 personal Lego® Star Wars builds- with a quick tip for each one. Enjoy!

3. TIE Bomber

For this model, I looked at references dozens of times. When building projects based off brands, movies, plays, books, etc., make sure you analyze the reference from all angles possible; it may help to print out photos. You also might want to take pictures on neutral backgrounds. Especially for contests. I’m not really happy with this one, but hey- you get what you take.

2. Mini Old Republic YT-1300 light freighter

When your designing a model off a large ship, building, etc., you can build at a smaller scale to help you build with the parts you have. Unless, of course, you have an extremely large collection. Then just go all out!
  1. THE NO. 1 MODEL IS… YT- HART Freighter (Heavily Armored Resistance Transport)

If the reference your building has been made into a set already, try looking up the instructions to it. This was extremely helpful for me here to get the size right, plus figure out how to build the circular rim.

Thanks for reading, and I hope that this has been helpful. If you have a different top favorite of these builds, or would like more depth to one of the quick tips, comment below!

May the Clutch be with you!
